Microsoft CRM 4.0 Site Map Surgery Tips Part 2
Yesterday I posted some tricks and tips for Microsoft CRM site map surgery. With CRM 4.0, we now have a new option, the Microsoft CRM Demonstration Tools. This is a fantastic set of tools designed for demo/test purposes. One of the tools is a Site Map Editor.
You can open a sitemap from an XML file, or open directly from CRM, very easily move areas and sub-areas up and down, edit icons, names, or delete without having to open an xml file. You can save the sitemap to an xml file, or publish directly to CRM. This is much easier than doing it manually.
This tool is only designed for demo purposes, so be sure to back your sitemap up before using it.

hi, i tried using this tool to edit my my sitemap.I added a new pane, tried to publish it to CRM but it sends back a message saying 'server unable to process request'. any reasons for this?

The cause is that this tool hasn't been updated to work with sitemap changes made in the update rollups, so it doesn't work. Wish it would be.

When I try to connect to crm with this tool I got an error.How can I solve this?

Make sure you are running it on premises on your network
